The "craigslist" experiment... privacy on the internet.

So a good e-pal of mine posted a craigslist ad pretending to be a submissive woman looking for men to do disgusting things to her...

he then posted the names/pictures/email addresses and work phone numbers of all 172 responses he got in the first day.

There were a lot of married men who responded. There were people who used their work email accounts and a metric fuckload of penis pictures   Basically shit that could get people in a lot of trouble if posted publically.

People got mad...

and now it's all over the news--internationally

There's a whole fuck of a lot of righteous indignation at this one..

Now, it's not something that I'd do myself, because I like being able to sleep at night, but I am a bit surprised at how pissed off people who've nothing to do with the situation got. Not saying they deserved it for sending pictures like that to an anonymous stranger, or from their work account, but they should have known better than to do that. (That said I hope the married guys get taken to the fucking cleaners by their soon-to-be-ex-wives)

Douches all around for you, your "e-pal," and the now-ruined people. Your friend is a cunt for exposing them at random and for no reason other than some sadistic fun at others' expense. Not that the married men and workers weren't asking to be found out, but the internet is obviously not private.

I think it's because most of us agree it was a pretty shitty thing to do, and have private things we like to keep private so can sympathize somewhat. I know my eyes widened.

Or perhaps that's just me... :uhoh:

Here's something to think about
Where would we be without nasty habits, nasty habits Makes me want to scream and shout Life would be so dull without nasty habits, nasty habits
All those naughty little things that we don't discuss publicly
Nasty habits, nasty habits Tell me your secrets, tell me your name, tell me your secrets
Does it please you to employ little girls or little boys Nasty habits, nasty habits
Do you like to romp and play by yourself when they're away Nasty affair what do I care
Do you peek at magazines filled with doggies and leather queens
Nasty habits, nasty habits
Tell me your secrets that no one should hear Whisper them softly into my ear I won't tell, I won't tell
People act so proper when they're going 'bout their business
Cup of coffee, friendly conversation
'Til they get home, 'Til they get home
Turn the phone off, lock the door and shut the curtains
Make sure that the neighbors are without suspicion
No one will know No one will know
Nasty habits I must condone
No one knows what I do when I'm all alone
Nasty habits I'm so ashamed
Nasty habits here to stay now they'll never go away
Try and stop you'll have to pay
Nasty habits are here to stay

In an attempt to combat prostitution on Teesside, the police here have been placing name and shame kerb crawler notices in the local paper for a couple of years now,in an attempt to,well, name and shame David Pleats in Middlesbrough.. Most of the names, are from places far and wide obviously not wanting to be seen on their own door step. More hookers per capita in Boro than any town in England alledgedly, which owes more to the smack problem in the town than anything,I'd sumise...

How can you tell if a prostitute is a Luton/Spurs/etc. fan?

She's the one with a Pleat in her skirt...
