what's your favourite musical instrument?

i was listening to 'the sorcerer's apprentice' and i thought about this one. i'd definitely say the oboe; what a beautiful sound it makes. i 'played' it for about 6 months but gave up because i couldn't be arsed practicing. oh, well, i'd rather listen to it anyway. :)

At the risk of sounding old, I would say the Harp.

Try waking up, after being on the piss for about 3 weeks (try people) and waking up to the Harpsichord being played.

Bass Fairlight CMI ( a real one off, an electronic instrument with more life than half it's owners) Theremin.....the real one ind, played by a trained player, not jstsome fucktard rappah, waving his arms at t like a spastic and torturing peeeoow peeeoow noises from it. Quite fond of Irish and Northumbrian pipes too...scots bagpipes are not an instrument but a method of defence from the English.

Piano

Although, I played the Flute and the Violin. Mix that with football, and a fucking nightmare is born!

I don't play any instruments, but I like the synthesiser.

Roland TB-303 and an 808... that is what I would play in my fantasy band... I suppose I could do it all

I like the twelve-string Rickenbacker sound on a lot of the Beatles' circa Hard Day's Night records, and the Byrds took that up as well. If I ever bother to get around learning guitar, it would have to be a Rickenbacker just because they've got that distinctive look
