As played by Killing Joke's Geordie

is right Chris!!
Is it a semi? I always thought the F holes were for decoration only. The fuckers certainly weigh enough....lots more than my bass, which is even about half the weight of a Gibson SG, and that's positively anorexic compared to the above.
Favorite?
Probably the pipe organ. I've always had a thing for big machines.
But I don't have one, so I just settle for my computers.
My pick...a computer loaded with software synths (fave..novation bass station). Although if I had to stand on stage in front of an audience I'd say a real bass with 20 distortion pedals.

You need to meet this mudyfunster here then.....

Third biggest in europe or something...the fucker even has trumpets on it. It's why New Order need to play the Ulster Hall...the entire building is built as the resonance chamber for the organ...ie it's designed for stupidly loud (the local TV company reckoned that if someone started playing it while they had their levels set for pieces to camera...it'd destroy people's TV's (a spoof obviously as there is a ceiling level that can be broadcast) amplified music.
I forgot...I like Tablas a lot too :D And Moogs (mine has not been powered up since the day Professor Moog left us, I honestly don't know how to tell it)
I also have a hell of a passion for anything stupidly unusual....go see Holt's Planets performed properly and you will see what I mean...there's a full orchestrra...pluss all the freak instruments that are not normally allowed out....bass flute...bass clarinet...and even 5 string contrabasses.
One more thing, I forgot to mention that I love the theremins for 2 reasons....1 the obvious one, that it's the only instrument that you must NOT touch when playing....and second, because when played right, it sounds like an Angel playing a cello.

Wow... I'll be paying that place a visit if I ever make it to Belfast.
I guess I just like the power of the pipe organ. One person's playing can fill the room. It's got such a huge dynamic range. My favorite part of being dragged to church as a youngster was listening to that sound.
I also like Moogs but have never owned one. I'd love to get my hands on a modular one day. I'd play with it for days.
Synth. I would love to get an Emulator I/II/Emax, Yamaha DX-7, PPG Wave 2, Roland Jupiter 8, any type of Moog, ARP Omni and just rock the shit out of it like I was in 1982-1990 Depeche Mode.
But with my talent, I would play the role of Andy Fletcher ![]()
12 Sting guitar. I've played a Rickenbacker through a stereo amp; makes you sound like you've got at least a year more hard practice than anything else I've played. The one I've got is really easy to play - very flattering if, like me, you've got pigs tits for fingers.
Saying that, I've got a really old Eko Ranger 6 string that I rebuilt a couple of years ago, I've owned it for about fifteen years. It's had a hard life and it's really dificult to play. Something about the way it's built means that the strings seem to be tighter than any other guitar and the action is really even so buzzing is a real problem. If you've got the time to sit and really concentrate, you can make a lovely sound with it. That's my favourite instrument.
Well, my favourite musical instument ![]()
violins are good as well. have i said before that that i love classical music and have a very good collection.
Bach and organ music, centuries before his time. imagine what he could have done with a fairlight. oh yes I love organs as well.
when you've just been filled in, and one of your teeth is missing, try suckin on a birds clit. makes a lovely sound. hurts like fuck. but nice tune.

Sounds like a 1000 stringed instrument played like a wind instrument. If you play the right notes the audience goes wild.
