Well, now realizing the other thread was for only guitarists, and one of mine was a bassist....give it to us:

Just been listening to 'Garlands' too much lately, and was under the impression Mr Guthrie did everything but wail beautifully.

There was another bassist then, Will Heggie. He got inexplicably sacked by a stroppy Liz (who'd have through it??!!) and Raymonde didn't get drafted in until "Treasure", so Guthrie did do everything but wail on 'Head over Heels'.
