Depends. I'm actually a pretty good cook, but my kitchen is inadequate-- not enough counter space, sink is one basin only, no range hood-- so it's never fun in there. Add in a distinct lack of time for standing around preparing meals, and cleaning up afterwards, and cooking just becomes a dreaded chore.

I do a curry that would make an Indian homesick. A killer chilli and very good pizza.

But I can do the day-day stuff as well.

Ulster Fry anyone?

Same problem here. Well it is not a big problem in fact as I so much prefer what I cook compared to miss Jiphy's cuisine...

I love cooking. I just hate cleaning up afterwards (no dishwasher).

I love cooking but for somebody special, not for myself. For myself I am too lazy.

Yeah I do. There's something really therapeutic about cooking. And cleaning too.

Honest! :-O

There was a time when I had pizza for 3 meals in a row but cooking for two has finally made me eat healthier food. I like to cook and I like to eat what I cook but I don't mind having a ready-made every now and then :)

Yes, I do. Not gonna be able to ever compete in any Iron Chef competitions, but I do well enough for lunch and dinner items. For breakfast, have no time really other than a bowl of cereal, some fruit, and some juice.

Also, I do not have a microwave oven in my house, nor do I ever plan to own one, just a range top stove plus a counter top convection oven.

Yup. Love to cook, hate to clean... never had any complaints about my cooking so I must do fairly well.

I used to love cooking, but since moving and having an oven with a split personality....Raw or cremated seem to be it's only settings and having no one to cook for I don't bother much now. I miss my old gas cooker:(

I love cooking, it has become one of my main interests in the last few years, and I am seriously considering doing some professional training with a view to opening a restaurant in a few years time. While I specialise in Greek dishes my Italian's not bad apparently, and I have a passion for fish (go on, innuendo lovers!). Having people enjoy my cooking is very satisfying.

Strangely enough I also enjoy washing up, the hot water on my hands is therapeutic.

Yeah,i love it. Although im one of those who seems to destroy the kitchen. Love cooking for other people and when i get the chance its great having people round for a meal.

I'm not saying I'm a great cook, I love to cook but find I rarely have the time. I'm a very tidy cook who can serve up a meal with a near spotless kitchen! I'm very organised and it's all in the timing!

I live alone so during the week I tend to cook ready meals and steam some veg to go with it. If I have company I'll push the boat out.

Most Sundays I get together with 3 of my friends and we take it in turns to cook. Although I'm usually hungover so they only get a curry.

nah, hate it. That's why I married the miss's.

My philosophey on dating always was : If the woman can't cook, then she's absolutely worthless.

So all you gals that do cook, you're tops in my book:thumb:

Er, most women these days can't cook, and pride themselves on it...
