End up at Stoke???? He was Potteries through and through!! He even impaled his eyeball on a fencepost just outside Stoke deliberately so that he wouldn't have to ever play for anyone else.
Recall Neville Southall playing for Stoke in the late-90s. I've been to festivals and slept under less fabric than he needed to make his shorts, the big fat bastard.
Gordon Banks Ray Clemence Peter Schmeicel Peter Shilton Peter Bonetti
Why are good goalies called Peter??

Fook me - two Worcester connections there!
Ron Baynham started at Worcester before Luton signed him, and Jake Findlay's son Shaun is currently bossing our midfield. And I played against Sir Les once.
Danny McDonnell, the best keeper never to play top flight football. Still, he loves his day job and his family and prefers to be unknown. Should have played at a much higher level, everyone who's seen him play confirms this. At 33 it's now too late.
Paul Moore - nutcase, liability half the time but capable of brilliance. Scouser who thought he was funny (don't they all?) ;)
Melvin Watson - if only he'd learned to shout at his defence he could have been a top professional. Great shot-stopper with a howitzer-like right boot on him, but wouldn't boss his defence. Ever.
Jim Cumbes - probably a better footballer than cricketer, and he weren't bad at cricket!
Simon Jackson - absolutely technically brilliant keeper, but for some reason decided to quit football for an academic career when only 21. Best keeper I ever played with.

Pat Jennings - Safe Hands
thats all
I watched his son (pat jr) in goal for Derry City tonight - he has the shot stopping gift too. Pulled off one save where he looked just like his Da
No particular order::
Dino Zoff Pfaff Peter Shilton Ray Clemence Higuita..Do you guys remember the scorpion??
Andrés wrote: Higuita..Do you guys remember the scorpion??
yip.. I also remember some team scoring against him cos he did that once too often.
Why has no one mentioned Jimmy Rimmer?.. The most hilariously named goalie around, apart from perhaps Bert Trautman.

The guy that scored the penalty used to play for us.

Alan Knight. Top keeper. Was always on top form whenever i saw him in the eighties either at ewood or fratton. Was at ewood day after 9/11. He came on for his 10 billionth appearence. Ewood gave him a top reception which he acknowledged. Those eighties games i always remember as garner v knight.
Know i'm biased but since he signed for rovers there ain't many better than Brad 'Dog Head' Friedel.
Friedal is a good keeper, you are right mate
Mark Schwarzer is top draw at Boro also, from present day goalies
