Not that I had forgotten it-but last week's season finale of "Battlestar Galactica" had a Middle Eastern tinged cover of "All Along The Watchtower"
So I dug up Jimi Hendrix's version and am still stunned cause very few can cover Dylan well.
I even dug up my Jimi box set and he had some crazy covers.
"Gloria" "Like a Rolling Stone" and "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band"!!!
I had forgotten how truly awesome Hendrix was....

Hi Steve mostly rediscovered these tracks through youtube etc. Agreed Kym Mazelle's Was That All It Was was better but Usless was the first track of her's I heard way back in November '88 when it was played on Jeff Young's show the token Friday night Dance music show on Radio 1 in the pre Pete Tong days - defo showing my age there.

Saw a biodrama on him recently. What a sad waste. Not only a great, great musician, but also a beautiful human being. Man, if you listen to his playing when Martin Luther King was assassinated....
