I worked at Tower Records for 4 1/2 years.

Mostly it was the "American Idol" show that I hate and the idea that most popular music we see is more like a deodorant or accessory than a tangible idea meant to provoke ideas.

Stiff Kittens

There's some shitty band that has named themselves that, I saw them at a free bar a year and a half ago and I've just remembered them because they're playing Glastonbury.

Who's up for bottling them? :evil4:

I cannot watch the American Idol myself, but the idea that the public is voting for the worst singer to be this season's American Idol seems rather appealing. :evil4:

I had that inclination myself. However, I started to watch it because my son wanted to watch it (and trust me when I say that when he was simply interested in music, any music, I have to be supportive). Turns out the show isn't really that bad, and right now there is a guy that is pretty good, singing 311, the Cure, Muse, Sublime and other songs that I like....and he's really good too.

not filled with much hate anymore, pop tarts are suppossed to be shallow and silly. American Idol is what it is, just ignore it if you want.

i do despise...

Live (pretentious bullshit grunge-lite lead by a total asshole) Creed (unoriginal in every possible way, lead by a total asshole) Styx (effeminate moron-progressive rock that doesn't really ever rock) Pat Benatar (set women back a decade) imitations of The Grateful Dead ... endless lame white boy "jam" ...i.e. a jam without funk or rhythm, no wonder you have to be high... not that I've ever "gotten" The Grateful Dead in the first place

Agreed, that album is a classic. The others (minus a few singles) are trash.
