One band/guy that baffles me is Phil Collins and Genesis. He is played on muzak all the time now... why hasn't Collins faded to obscurity? The guy has almost no talent as a pop singer/entertainer, and he can't write lyrics with crap. Maybe "Misunderstanding" and "I Don't Care any More"(or whatever its called) are okay, then everything after that is pretty much shit, their albums are lame as hell.

"Invisible Touch", probably the lamest, most awkward sounding pop song ever, can't imagine somebody ever covering this song except as a joke... but it gets played in 2007, maybe only in America. Do brits still listen to Genesis?

Magic Numbers (just weird) Cher (nasal) Tina Turner (its the head twisting bit) Rufus soddin Wainwright or whatever his name is (apparel) Lighthouse Family (yawn...........) ANY girl band (double yawn) Bonio and his Crew (agggghhhh) Sheryl/Cheryl Crow (ugh) Natasha Bed-in-field (well the last one was OK) And who could forget.........Depeche - I had more than enough after the first single..........

My Chemical Romance The Killers Fall Out Boy James Blunt Lily Allen Britney Spears Jessica Simpson Any rap/hiphop/r&b musician Avril Lavigne Shakira Spice Girls N' Sync Westlife Backstreet Boys Any former member of the aforementioned groups who have gone solo Lindsay Lohan Beyonce Christina Aguilera Take That Robbie Williams Michael Jackson Limp Bizkit (how the hell do you spell their name?) Linkin Park Artic Monkeys Most American bands (with the exception of REM, maybe) Heavy metal musicians Any country and western musician etc etc etc.....

Plus countless J-Pop stuff that are horrible.

Too many to mention but here's the worst of my bad bunch:

The Feeling - Geography teachers soft rocking, like Punk never happened, Maroon 5 - Superficial music for superficial people, The Killers - Brandon Foghorn and his pathetic 'tache, U2 - Make Bongo History and wear the wristband, Nirvana - I'd have killed myself too if I'd been in that band, Madonna - Vile fame-grabbing bitch, Keane - Sorry, almost fell asleep there, Metallica and most Metal - Get a haircut and some tunes, James Cunt/Paolo Nutini/James Morrison - Corporate ballad wankfest, The Gossip - Hype has destroyed them and she revolts me.

This is a fucking great thread, I can't wait for the top 20 one.

Don't think I can muster up any proper real hatred,with bands.A bit of dislike for alot of cack bands,tops. Oh well,shite thread. Bothered.

HEY!! :finger: Not nice to add them to the shit list. I actually have a spot in my heart for Yaz and the League. And Oasis was the band that helped me survive middle-school. Bloody hell.

Can't say I HATE any particular band. If I don't like their music much, I just don't listen to it. I think many are overrated, such as U2, Oasis, Beatles, Queen, etc but it doesn't bother me, all have produced some good stuff at some point. I don't like some of the attitudes that seem to be associated with certain genres, but maybe it's because I don't understand them :shrug:
