I partly agree as well.
If it were my family I'd want to know on the spot obviously.
The father probably thinks BB is a once in a lifetime chance for the daughter and he doesn't want ruin it for her. Touching in a way so you can see where he's coming from even if we do all think it's misguided.
As I understand it, the daughter knew her father was terminally ill before agreeing to go on the programme - please correct me if I'm wrong. As such, she knew that he was on borrowed time and may die while she was in there, and she made the decision to go in anyway.
