Mick I am dissapointed in your service: I have asked two questions recently:-
Why do men have nipples?
How do you tell someone you feel Sanguine without words?
I am still awaiting your response and I find your attitude inconceivable.
Please resume normal service as I have yet another question which is:-

Because blue light, having a shorter wavelength is scattered with much greater ease. Thus, the blue light scatters all around the upper atmosphere, with a portion of it reflecting down to give the appearance of the sky being blue. Likewise when looking directly at a low sun, whose light travels through more atmosperic volume before reaching the oberveor....almost all the blue light is scattered (and re-scattered and re-scattered due to SO much air being in the way), leaving only the characteristic red sunset/sunrise.
Plants use a Chemical called chrlorophyl to perform chemical processes on minerals from the soil and (mostly)carbon(during the day), from the atmoshpere. Chlorophyl uses primarily blue light to create new plant growth, and red light to produce more sugars and complex molecules usually needed as the plant approaches maturity and flowering/fruiting seeding (having evolved this way owing to the change in spectrum of sunlight at the planet's surface in the temperate zones causes by the sun's rising and falling in the sky due to seasonal variance (a phenomenon created by the planet's 23(ish) degree tilt with respect to the Solar Ecliptic Plane). As the plant uses red and blue light, it absorbs these, reflecting only the green wavelengths and thus appearing green.
