So sorry to hear about this, I had no idea. I haven't been around much lately, just basically because of the old "nothing much to talk about" syndrome.
My thoughts to her family 
Liv passed this news on to me at the weekend - so, so sad. I only met Collette a few of times on various NOOL related jaunts, but she's part of some brilliant, crazy memories I have of those times. Just so sad that someone so young can go like that.

I only have happy memories of the mad cheeky monkey, she always had a smile on her face and told some cracking stories. She also sent me some superb Charlatans gig photies in return for some of my Neworder ones. 29 is no age at all.

or, with a less cynical head on, it's a reflection that even though the vast majority of us will never meet in real life, we are all still human and still have the same feelings, and can sympathise and empathise

I do agree with what you were saying. My biggest concern was that people were making comments when the didnt know the history. There are bound to be people here who chatted/exchanged messages with her but never met her, thats different. Without sounding full of shit, the older members of the forum know the score.

yeah... to clarify i'm talking about newer members especially those who wrote teenaged poetry.
and i'm sorry for your loss...
I know it's a long time since this was posted but i have to say it's extremely sad news indeed. I know she didn't have her troubles to seek, and she struggled desperately to come to terms with the death of her boyfriend, also at such a tender age. I have occasionally wondered if she managed to weather the storm and find happiness with someone else, but i suppose having to deal with such trauma at such a young age would weigh heavily on anyones shoulders. My enduring memory of her was when i went clubbing one night with her and the legendary JS in Glasgow. She was a fun girl when you got past the sadness and torment in her eyes. God bless you Collette, rest you! X
