There’s a Church in Horwich that has been empty for some time. It has recently been sold on for development. There are 300 graves around the church and it seems the developers are planning to rip out the graves and use it as a car park. The last person was buried there in the 1970’s but there have also been ashes scattered there in 2004. Apparently the Council have written to relatives and given them 14 days to claim gravestones.
I understand that people wouldn’t want to live around a graveyard but it just seems wrong to me. Haven’t these fools seen the film Poltergeist? Horwich will be run amok with ghosts. I’m frightened!
