Had a very good Italian sub a couple of days ago for dinner.

There's a strategy to eating there. If you go during the lunch rush you get bread-type product, requested filling, and instead of adding veggies they show the sandwich where the veggies are and there you go. During the off hours you actually get the veggies you'd like. Which is nice.

steak cheese melt with hearty italian. always hearty italian. no olives. no cucumber. they're shit. extra chillis. southwestern sauce

An absolute mess to eat though. The thing's just a mass of salads and sauce by the time you get to the end of it. The bread just falls apart. I go through napkin after napkin eating one of those buggers!

the Iranian pizza shop near me puts corn on pizzas. as well as garden peas, broccoli and carrots.

I've eaten corn on sandwiches loads of times.

Never had a Subway i nmy life, mainly due to the fact there never has been one in the town i lived in, but ones coming to Town in a few eeeks so i'll check em out i think

I went to a Subway in Florida years ago and I was amused to see that they charged more for a large soda than a small one, even though the refills were free. I asked them why anyone would pay more for the larger cup and had one of the strangest conversations of my life with the server. She was utterly confused by the question: couldn't see why anyone would find it odd that you pay more for a larger one. The Manager was called and he couldn't see my point either.

Now I think about it, it was on that day that I first decided that Americans are a bunch of total thickoes

I've just returned to Subway after about a ten year gap. First time I went there, the girl cut her finger while making it, claret going everywhere, except in the sandwich as far as i could see. She asked me if i wanted it warmed up, and i just walked out.

Reintroduced meself to them in Clapham recently, and they do the business alright. They are not for eating in a car, that is for sure, and I have to have loads of jalapeno on mine.

And you yanks never made a tuna and sweetcorn sandwich? Thought it was commonplace.

A branch has opened next to my old school. Next to the chippie. If only it had been there back in my day, my arteries would be in a much better state now. Sigh.

Though my 'savaloy and chips' diet was good nutrition compared to that of most of my classmates, who used to spend their dinner money on packets of custard cream biscuits.
