Do any of the Mancs here remember when someone wrote "Spud U Didn't Like" on the wall next to the bins behind Spud-U-Like on Market St.
Still laugh at that one ![]()

Sweetcorn.
Thought you dumbass Texan rednecks lived on the stuff?!
Now, mind you, a good corn on the cob is quite tasty...and the BBQ joint right down the road does an outstanding creamed corn...
but I have never heard of putting it on a SANDWICH?!?!?!
I'm not even sure it's an option over here...
Now I am intrigued...
Yeah I admit... corn in a sandwich seems out of place for me as well....
I just... don't... know.
They only put the little yellow bits from the outside on. Not the whole thing!
The meatball one is nice. I'll have it cold next time.
I went to a Subway in Florida years ago and I was amused to see that they charged more for a large soda than a small one, even though the refills were free. I asked them why anyone would pay more for the larger cup and had one of the strangest conversations of my life with the server. She was utterly confused by the question: couldn't see why anyone would find it odd that you pay more for a larger one. The Manager was called and he couldn't see my point either.
Now I think about it, it was on that day that I first decided that Americans are a bunch of total thickoes
Think I've just cracked a rib..

Well, provided you're getting takeaway, you wouldn't have the option for free refills, hence possibly paying more for more a larger tankard of sugar water.
But corn on a sandwich? NO!

No, we were sitting in. The server knew that.
So you've never had a chicken and sweetcorn pizza? Madness.
I was gonna go there at Christmas. Think I'll see whether I can change the flights to somewhere more civilised.
My favourite eating joint! No particular favourite, providing it's smothered in honey and mustard sauce. ![]()
