for all of you out there who are either with a partner or have been, have you ever been dealt the question "have you seen my", now the question could be anything, I am usually asked about pants, sock and the occasional screwdriver etc, I am sure it is different for everyone else, they must asume I hide them some where just to be spiteful, like i've got nothing better to do.

in other words " i could probably find it if i made an effort.i have an idea where it is but i'll pretend i don't 'cause i can't be arsed to look so you can get it for me" ?

couldn't have put it better myself:thumb: Although they do really believe I have seen such items and know there where abouts, like I give a F**k, if it ain't my fags, keys or phone I don't really care

In our house the evil pixies hide everythiing in the night, but fortunately the elves generally find them again the next day!

Hey Myfanwy :thumb:

I live alone and am quite tidy and organised so everything tends to have a place, but I do have my moments.

Most recent is searching my house up and down for the remote control and eventually finding it in the fridge (and this is not the first time!)

I've somehow managed to lose a whole photograph album which has great sentimental value and I'm quite upset about it, I've had the house upside down, the shed and my attic. Do you know where it is Myfanwy???

I'm usually the one who has to say "have you seen my...?". the missus invariably replies "it's probably where you left it". this is annoying because rather than help, it's designed to be irritating; but more importantly it's nearly always incorrect. three kids and herself conspire to move, hide, cover, box anything that's left in view.

I think I'm fairly good at remembering where I've left things (unless pissed) but I have spent time wandering around the house looking and checking all my pockets for my mobile then realised that I couldn't find it because I'm actual using it at the time

OR you could be like my wife who LOVES to rearrange things without letting me know that she has, and where I keep something, no longer is there mysteriously....though she complains everytime I ask her...and she acts like she never does this:nuts:

More that half my house is a secret place. I hardly ever venture into those rooms.

I have three juicers numerous cutlery and plate sets, but I'll be buggered if I can find my blender,.

update: both the missus and I were late for work this morning because our youngest had lost one of his school shoes (and we could only find individual non-school shoes too). so we looked everywhere: in beds, in the car, in toy boxes etc - I eventually found it at the top of the hat-stand.

surely there is a conspiracy going on!!

Wow! A hat-stand... I can only dream of such riches...

that's almost a definition of post-modernism. regarding hatstands - we live in the forties. we're waiting for a man to come around and fit the house with electricity. (these gas powered computers are a bit temperamental)

First off, use the trusted solution, pray to St.Anthony, I can trust that you will find the lost item within a week, it always works, if that fails, do what the old dears do and leave yourself little notes around the house, always works for my mom

don't feel bad about it,, do the same myself, except I use them as dog shit scoopers, they are Tesco bags that say we should re use these items and for the effort gain green card points on our tesco cards, do you think I qualify??

BRF you'd be a perfect canidate to try my new invention. Its a velcro wall. You put the kids in a velcro suit and just apply them to the wall. Put velcro on toys, and they can roll around on the wall forever, having lots of fun...the best thing is you know where they are....also gives you a chance for you and the misses to rekindle that spark by going to clubs, eating out, etc. all without having to pay for a babysitter!

I have jsut the answer to your problem, do you have an alarm system in your house? the kind that have little sensors in the room and glow each time some one walks by, if so, just tell the kids that each time the light goes on SANTA is watching, I am sure this will help, let me know how it goes

I was quite sober myself, which is sad in itself considering we were stopping over, did not know many people at the time, just put up a front I supose, won't do it again promise. Ignore what Kath says I am normal, etc etc
