Nobody thankfully said "ahhh Ireland? do you know $GEEZER"
Honestly, take it from me Engerlish friends, get yer best Dublin Brogue on you when over there and you'll want not for ale or quim. Best bit is, it wont matter if it's a shit accent, on the rare chance they even look suspocious tell them you're from aughnapouchall in deepeest county Kerry, and people there speak funny. Scots and Welsh order, you'll get away with it as is, just subsitute some pissy backward Irish town for whatever pissy backward Scottish/Welsh town you're from.
Hell I put on my piss head Derry accent and get drinks from guys who don't suspect anything even when I slip up and say something that blows my spot like "oh i remember when the Challenger exploded we were watching it in AM Kindergarten" :P
They'd never KNOW we don't call it kindergarten here though, so you're fine. We seen it too on the floating bog. I cried. 7 of the best gone, because of some penpusher with no business being anywhere near an organisation like NASA.
PS, I could probably mimic YOUR accent better than I could do a pisshead Derryman.
