Actually walked past him interviewing that spoonbender guy (Geller?), just outside where David Blaine was in his box...
They actually stopped the interview, and chatted to us (me and a couple of work colleagues) - nice guy.

Some people like being in prison , some people turn gay , there's a few fights 'n stuff.What a revealing documentary
Most people seemed to like being there (?!) and over 50% once released return quite quickly,. like one guy said theres no stress worrying about where the next meal is coming from and your bead & board are taken care of. Hes doing 550 years + 11 life sentences.
Louis only asked superficial questions and never really got past the cons stock answers to obvious questions - 'whats it like being inside, what are you in for'
It was quite interesting but like someone else mentioned, it wasnt that revealing. I dont think Louis wanted to probe the prisoners half as much as they wanted to "probe" him
It would have been better if he had been the section at the time of the prisoner being shot, or if we could have heard the comments better that were shouted by other inmates (ie about the gay couple debra and michael(?)).
Maybe a follow up documentary on those that were releases and how they reacted in the outside world would have added some depth too.
Still I dont blame Louis for asking the same lame old questions. I wouldnt have liked to have been in some of the situations he was.
Love how he says that he's accompanied by a guard 'for his own safety' when he walks across the excersise yard.
Just in case anyone was thinking that the guard was there in case Louis attacked a couple of the inmates

It never ceases to amaze me just how vapidly 'nice' some Americans can be. Even their most volatile sociopathic killers somehow came across as quite decent, polite individuals. Not particularly charming as such, but quite open-eyed and pleasant in that awful 'have a nice day' kinda way.
Only thing that amazed me in this show was that lad's neck tattoo, the lad who was 'seeing' the Jewish guy. It looked like he was wearing a fcuking ruff!!
I don't think any TV shows really go too much 'in depth' any more. Simple reasoning being that producers are told that the public's attention span will last 60 minutes maximum.
I'd love to see a good 3 or 4 hour documentary that really investigated its subject matter and came up with some interesting observations/revelations. Otherwise, what's the point in 'investigative' journalism that ends up condensed into 30 - 60 minutes of homogenised 'family-friendly' TV?
