Yes, its made everyone laugh.
The third Monday in January is 'officially' the most miserable day in the whole year, according to the our local TV news last night. The weather's rubbish, everyone's the most skint they can possibly be having cleaned themselves out at Christmas and the sales and payday is another week away. And, despite the shortest day being a month away, the nights still appear to be drawing in so it's dark when you get to work and dar when you're coming home.
They interviewed a few people in Aberdeen, all of whom seemed quite cheerful and pleased to be on the telly. Their argument dully fcuked they showed some footage of some fit people rolling around on pilates balls in a Perth shopping centre 'just to cheer you all up'.
They played Blue Monday during the report, so that was nice.

I actually had a day's holiday on Monday.Great to have a lie in on the most depressing day of the year. But by mid afternoon i was , erm, actually quite depressed. So I decided to go for a walk.Ended up wandering around a graveyard i hadn't visited for years.Fcuk knows why i'd ever been there in the first place seeing as i have no relatives buried there. And It was actually uplifting , made me grateful for being alive and not being 10 foot under.I reccommend trying it sometime!!![]()

Was going to say. Sounds like a right old jolly-up.
Not a big fan of the month. It's cold, I am still adjusting to the new semester, and it's not Daylight Savings Time yet. On top of that, it's almost time for me to get my W-2s and my financial aid ready again.
Hibster, have you suffered any sadness this month?
Mishaps, perhaps?
Argued with anyone?
Lost anything?

It's usually cold over here, but not that bad. In January, after the Emperor's Cup tournament on New Years Day, I'm usually just anxious for the J-League season to start in March.

I've had a great January so far, dunno what everyone is whinging about. Certainly a less hectic than December. For once, I feel genuinely chilled.
Mind you, I did promise myself I wouldn't drink all month, then when that proved impossible said just once a week, then this week it's three large nights out, but then I never was any good with will power. Or sitting in.
It's improving, largely thanks to some very good friends and my family. And me.
Oops sorry I'm not really here! ![]()
Crap month and February isn't shaping up much better. The rest of the year should be much better.
Now when can I go on my world tour? Yeh right.
January 2008 might go down as one of my best ever.
Started so badly, but gets better and better each day.
Best of all; there's two whole days of it left ![]()
