I'm after a copy of episode 23 of the World At War documentary (entitled Pacific), want to use a bit of it in a lesson next week, haven't been able to find it in the shops, and online wouldn't arrive in time... Nowt on Youtube either... On the off-chance that anyone has a digital copy they could send my way, would be much appreciated...

Have you googled it? Seems there's a lot of torrents for the entire thing out there.
When you download the torrent you simply ticking episode 23 as the one you want!

That sort of thing might take forever to download though, so make sure you start downloading ASAP.

While you can specify which files within a torrent you wish to download, there is not much you can do to specify which bits of an individual file get (some clients allow you to prioritize the first and last segements so you can preview the file, as .avi's have their index at the end).
You should be able to snip a bit off with AVS video tools (only ones I am sure work in DOS).
BTW, why not get the whole series, it's great.
I must thank Al, for 'twas he who put me on to thebox.bz I've downloaded hundreds of GB of documentaries and silly Monty Python related stuff.
Stick a video on and let the kids watch it, half term approaching. Whats on at the start, is there anything else you could use?

Not without telling kids that there's only one country ever to use WoMaDs, and that they used them against civilian areas, areas left previously unbombed to maximise casualties.
It's actually nothing to do with the subject matter why I'm after it... It's for A-Level English Language - looking at specialist lexis and language development, there's a bit in a textbook that mentions this passage, so I thought I miay as well let them actually see/hear what's being talked about... 
I suppose I could just stick a DVD on and spend the lesson on here instead...

Jeezus, thought about downloading this series myself.
It comes out at a whopping 20gb!!!
