Right, a lad from work has lent me a few of these. Gonna start off with Millers Crossing tonight. I have a funny feeling I've seen it though!
I also have O Brother Where Art Thou, BatFink and Blood Simple.
Which is the next best from them three.
If Churchy is about, narrow the films down to three sentences for me without giving anything away and put them in order of which I should watch

i couldn't stand miller's crossing. i know it's supposed to be a classic and all that, but i was terribly bored by it, to be honest.
my top 3 coen brothers':
fargo. unless you're american you might not quite get the 'minnesota nice' cultural reference (especially the accent, which frances mcdormand and bill macy put on so brilliantly), but the film's near perfect. i first saw it in the theatre with my dad, and he was laughing so loud it was embarrassing.
blood simple. i watch this one every few months. it reminded me a bit of no country for old men, in that it was not heavy on the dialogue, but what dialogue there was was genius. and the burial scene: creepy.
the hudsucker proxy. hula hoops. 'nuff said.
about the big lebowski: it took me a few viewings to warm to it, but now i'm quite fond of 'the dude.'
overrated and overstated shite is what they are....
...minus Fargo (which was great).... but everything else is just a bore
I loved Fargo and I did get the accent thing. I like the Scandinavian Ja and aren't they proud of the Twin Cities. The poor people there they really had the piss taken out of them there, lol or is the Mid-West really like that? ;)
All great films - I'd try "The Big Lebowski" (Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi), "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?" (George Clooney, John Goodman, John Turturro), and my favourite, "Fargo" (Frances McDormand, William H Macy, Steve Buscemi).
Must have seen "The Miller's Crossing" at some point, and "The Hudsucker Proxy", but can't quite remember... I also quite like "Intolerable Cruelty" (George Clooney and Catherine Zeta Jones - all about prenuptials - hilarious), but that gets panned by critics - ah well...
Got my brother a couple of Coen Brothers DVD box sets for his birthday tomorrow, so that means I can watch the rest of the films at my leisure!

in addition to the others mentioned (the big lebowski is my fave of those) the man who wasn't there is a good one as well

I've seen Fargo and Lebowski, thought they were alright.
Watched Millers Crossing the other night, really enjoyed it, my favourite of the three films of theirs I've watched so far.
Blood Simple tonight
I love "Barton Fink" and "Big Lebowski". "Blood Simple" is a great debut movie. "Miller's Crossing" is extremely awesome, too. "Fargo" is a good one too, but I think it's a bit overrated. And "The man who wasn't there" is underrated. That flick with Clooney and Zeta-Jones is not worth mentoning.
Everything of the Coens that features Steve Buscemi, Peter Stormare, John Goodman and/or John Turturro rules :D . The more of them are in it - the better.
Damn, I can stand waiting for "No country for old men" anymore. I saw the trailer recently. Awesome.
Oh... How could I forget "The Hudsucker Proxy"? Shame shame. I love that movie. Great cast (Tim Robbins, Paul Newman...), great story.
