I had Lasagne and Chips.

Just had a text from Al who is dining out tonight.

And I shit you not.

This is his meal....

Crocodile and Peacock for starters.Zebra and Gnu for main meal and a salad of Locusts.Desert was Bee's!?!I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A GNU IS!

He was gutted cos they had run out of scorpions, that was gonna be his desert.

Is it me or is that just fucking wrong

Oh my word, I'm not sure there's anything there I'd like to even try. I'm a bit squeamish about stuff like that. I didn't even eat curry until about 15 years ago

Tonight I had steak and ale casserole with mashed potatos and steamed spinach - yum!

Crocodile is lovely, as is Zebra (tastes like Veal). Peacock, I am reliably informed, tastes like Pheasant.

Nothing wrong with eating of those animals, as long as its good quality meat.

I had a curry.

Sat down at half seven an dwalked out at gone ten. We were the only ones in the restaurant too. Got a massive apology from the waitress. She shouldn;t have bothered; was so nice not to be rushed. BYO to, so the bill was £20 each with a tip to die for.

No fucking zebra though. Cunts

I don't have a problem with the animals, it's the insects I'm intrigued by!

I guess they could go quite well being crispy? :)

I didn't regurgitate.

Of course, mentioning vegan enchiladas has just caused me to throw up in my mouth...

so now I'm going to have to go eat again...

Fine if you want to eat vegan...

...but why does vegan food have to imitate "meaty" foods and have fake meatloaf and fake chicken and fake hamburger and fake bacon? Fake enchiladas? These fake foods look and smell disgusting, it's hard to even give them a try...thou I always was that picky kid who wouldn't try anything.

I had some KFC Hot Wings... :\ohwell: KFC has got to be one of the worst jobs in the world, they can't get anybody to work there... thou slaughtering those chickens has to be a worse job. Best not to think about where this food come from...

whaddaya mean fake meaty foods. could just be veggies & beans & rice etc. too, as in this case.

I feel like vegans in general are divided on faux meats. Some are OK, I haven't encountered any that were particularly disgusting (e.g., tofu pups are no more disgusting than the hot dogs I used to have as a kid... and slightly healthier, I'd venture). But yeah, probably better to eat unprocessed vegetables than processed soy.

Oh and thanks to my Texan friend for posting that pasty-thing. So that's what those are. (At least there are all those all-you-can-eat buffets down there in TX, so that's perfect if you feel you need more food....)
