There certainly proud of their influences.
Yes that's a nice way of putting it.
I can't wait to see how he holds it.

Wonder how he feels about it?
Tribute or rip-off? You decide!
I'm sure Hooky is chuffed as fuck. Burgess has often cited JD/NO as his biggest influences.
Quality stuff...
Even went rummaging about upstairs in the deepest darkest reaches of the unorganised and messy section of the CD collection to pick out some old Charlies stuff... Was toying with the idea of doing Leicester, and having seen that it's a Saturday it looks like a more than attractive proposition... ![]()

The only New Orderish bit i've noticed is a brief snippet in the intro to Mis-Takes
.But i have had a few drinks on both occasions i've listened to it.Then again i have to be drunk to consider listening to The Charlatans
Mind you i think Cherry Ghost are ace so what the fuck do i know?
cherry ghost singles are ok but let down with the rest of album. anyway the charlatans album is ok.see new order in the general sound, singing and arrangement of the songs but not really any of hooky bass as some said here .still like the early albums more. anyway time for me to put head over heels cocteau twins on,some of the best bass ever ![]()
Didnt do anything for me, just seemed like any indie rock band from the last 10 years or so. However early 90's Charlatans has so much youthful exuberance but after then just seems to fall apart. Still anyone giving praise to New Order is a good thing.
