Hey all, do you listen to Morrissey? If so, I just found out he's releasing a Greatest Hits album soon, on March 25! Anyone planning to get it?

Here's a spot where you can listen to some songs that'll be on the record: myspace.com/morrissey

It was released in the UK a few months ago. He is nearly as bad as New Order for releasing best of albums.

if you are a completest, then it is worth getting. otherwise, i'll just recommended these: viva hate, your arsenal, you are the quarry, vauxhall & i, and suedehead: the best of as personal choice.

Love Morrissey, but geez, way too many greatest hits albums over the years (world of morrissey, best of morrissey, et al). Kind of a surprise, since I thought his last album was a real nice return to form. In the past it seemed greatest hits were kind of a stopgap for him. So no, am not planning to get it. I'm still a little miffed over his walking out on the Boston show after 6 songs last summer because he was sick.

Yeah, I'm always hyped for a Morrissey release though.

WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES it make?

Have always loved his stuff. Seems the NO / Morrissey / Cure fan-link is a State-side thing, as all the Brits usually hate both him and R Smith.

Always loved the lyrics 'We hate it when our friends become successful' and 'Hang the DJ'. Did either of those songs make prime time radio?

It makes none.

Great story about Mozz here.

Earlier this month, the promoter of the Isle of Wight festival [...] had a few choice words for Morrissey, who pulled out of the festival three years ago: "[He] claimed he was never booked and he told us he didn't have a drummer.

I offered him Phil Collins, and he still said he wouldn't do it."

You'd think that any music promoter would know that was a non-starter.

I already knew about it--"That's How People Grow Up" has been played quite a bit here on the one station I listen to the most, usually on weekends.

I like the last single. It has been out a couple of months now here in UK .Wasn't really going to buy it for 2 new songs seeing as I've got most of his albums now,but I want the double pack with the DVD concert at Hollywood Bowl.
