The company I work for asked the 6 web architect if one of us would be interested in working 6-9 months at the New York City office to implement our work methods out there.

Should I do it? :confused2:

What exactly is stopping you?

Sounds like an ideal opportunity to me.

Feu vert !!!

Si c'est bien, tu ne le regretteras pas. Si c'est nul, tu n'en as que pour neuf mois... (et neuf mois, presqu'un hiver sous les tropiques pour un Canadien, non ?)

Et puis, le Québec, ce n'est pas loin...

Nic - I just looked at the exchange rates, as I get paid in $US (peanuts)

As the Canadian Dollar is worth roughly the same, why not ask your employer if you can come to work in the UK?

If the Poles, Romanians, Africans, Indians, Greeks, Koreans, Turks, etc. can do it...

At least you can speak English. Sort of. :evil4:

Nicos...are they going to be paying for you accommodations?

New Yawk ain't exactly a cheap place to live...sooooo...

Hell...Target sent me to some dirt cheap places back in my days with them...and I still made those rat bastards foot the bill...Of course...my assignments weren't nearly as long as yours...

oh well....

if they will foot the bill for where you are living...go for it...otherwise...tell them to piss off...

Might be a good place, but shorter would be better... I'd go for 6 months tops.... New Yorkers are the worst Americans... thier rude, self-centered, and alot of mouth but not alot of action to back up thier words... So don't go long enough were the sight-seeing wears off and the people start to grind you down....
