G Love and Special Sauce are the stars of that show. Very cool band you'd love them. Greg's gonna lay down the law. Amazing.

I have some cds of theres at home, can try to dig them out and send them on if you want. Or give you a couple of tracks for evaluation purposes over MSN.

I bet they're great live. Chrissy will know, I think they're frawm Philly.

Chrissy?

I love The Black Keys (will be seeing them for the third time in a few weeks) Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, Erykah, Badu, Iron & Wine. Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings (funky 60s style soul), Shooter Jennings, Asleep at The Wheel, Drive-By Truckers.

That lineup sure outshines Bonaroo...

I have their album and it is rather good. When I heard it was happening, I thought "I like both, this sounds interesting, must check it out"

Plant's last two records "Dreamland" (2002) and "Mighty Rearranger" (2005) have mined the folky side of Zep. Think "Gallows Pole", "Hey Hey, What Can I do" "The Battle of Evermore" mixed with world influences.

Plant's voice has lost about an octave on the top end, so he cannot really belt it out like the old days. Funny thing is Plant and Krauss actually work....

'Drive by truckers' you'd be mad to miss them. But then i'm a big fan of alt country/bluegrass/Bakersfield sound.... well, you get the picture.

In short this is the kind of festival i'd like to be at.

I did SXSW twice...it's too much hassle for me...running around from club to club, hoping that they haven't already reached capacity...mingling with all the students...

in other words...I guess I'm just too old for that...

plus, it seemed like I would always run into the problem of 4 bands that I really wanted to see playing at 4 different venues at the same time...
