Have you stuck with the ones that came with it or replaced them with something better?
The ones that came with my Zen sound fine, but I can't get on with earbuds so I got a pair of Sennheiser PX100. Sound great, fold up so I can cart them about easily and sufficiently bulk-less so as to not look a complete cock whilst wearing them.
I purchased (and currently use) the Bose QuietComfort 3 headphones...
They are bulky (and expensive), but are one of the noise reduction headphones, and also make you look less like a cyberman than the QuietComfort 2 or Sennheiser PXC-450! :p
However, there are some decent Sennheiser in-ear phones, or noise-reduction headphones (ranging from the PXC-150 to the cyberman PXC-450), that are supposed to be quite good?
I've got some Seinhauser in-ears and they're the nuts. They're actually branded as Creative, I bought them as part of an upgrade kit for my Zen, but I know what they're up to.
I've also got some achingly cool aluminium B&O ones that cost me about £100. No arguing with the sound quality but I don't like the way they fit on the ears and they're literally falling to bits. The arms that hold them to your ears have buts missing and the jack plyug has disintegrated.
IN fact, I'm going to take them back to the shop NOW and see what they have to say about it.
Bah, if I'd bought them from that shop they'd have changed them for a new pair.
Because I got them on an aeroplane, I've got to call KLM for them to sort it.

i'm a bit worried about those headphones of yours! 
binned the ipod earbuds as they are cack. 
have a pair of shure e2c's that i did the kramer mod which sound great, very crisp, good midrange, reasonable bass etc but cable fatigue has set in so ordered some sennheiser cx300's off of ebay yesterday

headphones break on me a lot. i need to find some good sturdy ones.
i've got the creative headphones....i got them buying my last dell notebook and they sound great. Now i'm using them with my ipod 
foolishly did more research after getting mine & found that ultimate ears headphones get great reviews & you can buy replacement leads for them which is a brilliant idea.
getting some of them next time.
