seeing as most of us will be feeling a little under the weather today, how about sharing any tales you may have. you can tell how your hang over is,what it feels like, nerves shattered? furry toungue? bruises that you cant understand where they came from. and any cures would be helpfull also, although i think we all no the only way to avoid a hangover is to not stop drinking. Did you do anything stupid last night? did you get a shag? Tell all. the floor is all yours.

Always kinda thought the "I can't remember what I did" was kinda a lame bullshit excuse, how often do people really "blackout" and remember absolutely nothing?

cures...?

your body knows what it is doing when it wants to barf, so barf away. get that out of your system! better to barf now than feel worse the next day.

drink some water before going to bed

you don't really need to drink/finish that last beer/drink if you are already really drunk.

I didn't have a hangover yesterday. I cunningly avoided it by staying up and boozing all night. It was ace, but I can't say I feel too special today.

In fact, I feel awful.

Liam, the first time I met you I was out of my mind on cider. Didn't you think something was wrong as I fell to the floor at your feet?

And the second time, as I remember, I'd drunk a whole bottle of gin before lunchtime at that V festival. Again, didn't you think that something was amis when I knocked that youg boy off his Dad's shoulders during the Scissor Sisters?

And at the Queen Elizabeth Hall gig. Surely you saw me drink SOME of the pints I managed to put away. And weren't you with me when I walked in and needed help to find my seat?

I bloody love drinking me :thumb:

I just assumed that you were naturally unable to control yourself and that you were influenced by ungodly amounts of pure Apple Juice.

That makes you fall over, does it?

I'll have to try that.

Does if you bung yeast and sugar in it and leave it somewhere warm for a coupla weeks

I've had some bastard hangovers and they just get worse and worse. Thankfully I basically don't drink any more.

Cures? Easy...as much water as you can get into you and a serious dose (at LEAST 2 tablets) of Ibuprofen before bed. Best to prevent the inflamation rather than wake up with it and wait for pills to fix it while you wish for death.

EDIT: and yes it works. Me and Leanne got falling down spasicated drunk a coupla weeks ago, and the above cure left me in quite an acceptable state the next morning. OK, my Monza laptimes were a bit off the pace, but I did manage to at least WATCH the British GT's ;) (I haven't drunk the night before a GP since James Allen took over, the thought of that cocksucker whittering on while I'm using all my mental powers to just EXIST doesn't bear thinking about)

I'll tell you this, when the Apples start appearing on the tree in a few months, I've got a recipe for Apple Wine that I'm going to use. I'll give you some for Christmas next year if you want. Apparently its lethal, although not in a literal sense.

I don't get on with ibuprofen. It really irritates my stomach unless I've had a lot to eat. It feels like my guts and kidneys are on fire and lasts a good couple of hours.

Know a few people like that. Try asprin, ibuprofen was designed as a synthetic asprin for people who couldn't take asprin.

Paracetamol will do the same thing, BUT it's not good for your liver at all, so maybe tossing half a day's dose in one gulp down your nect while your liver's got 12 pints and 6 TVR's to cope with isn't so smart.

At least two tall glasses of water before going to bed... if I still have a hangover, one beer in the morning tides it over (the thought, smell and taste of one might be revolting for the moment, but it really does the trick)
