I'm trying to finish up trimming some trees in the backyard, but it's frigging hot and humid already...
anybody got any ideas on what I should do instead?

I've never thought about it, but if someone asked me whether I'd see an American use the word albeit, I feel certain I'd have said no.

Yer right on that, those from Brooklyn don't know how to use a lawn mower (let alone what one looks like).... probably don't know what Jeff was ranting on about "trimming branches" either ![]()

I had this group of Marines once that I supervised in 'base beautification'. Three of them were from Brooklyn. I, unsmartedly, gave them the job of mowing and weed-eating the park near base-housing. I dropped them off and drove off to give tasks to other Marines. I came back 30 min later, thinking most of the grass would be cut, when alas, the three Brooklyn Marines were surrounding the lawn mower, scratching their brain-buckets. They couldn't figure out how to start the damn thing. So after a quick class, they were getting it done finally. Left to see how the others were doing. Came back another 30 minutes later, and they had cut the grass, but instead of the normal straight lines, they had bobed and weaved all over the place... looking like they used the lawn mower for a slalom course...
Don't even get me started on the difficulties they had with the weed-eater![]()

Ahh the normal order has been restored.
Oh no, hang on...
unsmartedly?
A couple of weeks ago, Houston wasn't too bad, but I guess that may have changed?
Anyway, you could always go to a water works amusement park to cool off. Or play in the sprinklers...

why sweat yourself, not unless you prefer to do the job yourself.

Now why would I do a thing like that?

Then they might have A/C in prison, unless you get executed. Plus you can get laid every night in prison.
