The human angle is an interesting idea.. but I wouldn't want 1/2 a guy which is what bluey equates to.... I would defo have to go with the cold bastard who never says he loves me.. Brown all the way I'm afraid..

aah, that "does it need saying?" was a smashing line.

Dr Who must have been pissed off when Sarah Jane turned up and not Peri

Oh bloody course it needs saying...

Add flowers chocolates & gifts to the mix and you have a perfect man... but then I would still have The original Dr warts an all... I can imagine perfect would be dead boring... well that's what I tell myself ;)

Dry yer thighs you two

I agree with miss Rebecca's assessment, a bit underwhelming, bit over busy, and ended with a whimper not a bang.

BTW Bx......you've not been writing for TheRegister have you,I note their "moderatrix" shares certain traits with you.

On a happy note, RTD's gone, and the guy in charge now wrote most of the best and "most Dr" scripts we've seen.

Yep, underwhelming. But I thought so about the past two finales so nothing new there. Hope RTD still contributes a small script or two to the series in 2010 as things like Midnight are what he does best.

Partly disagree with you there, especially because Moffat's written two of the worst offenders in the new series' "must make the Doctor at least flirty and give him a love interest every now and then 'cos that'll keep fangirls interested" -mode: The Girl in the Fireplace and that library thing.

So yeah, I'm gutted that Tennant didn't regenerate into a grumpy oldish man like Troughton or McCoy, but then I'm one myself so there ye go.

'blink' was a blinder - no doubt about that. but the ham-fisted exposition at the end of 'forest of the dead' was plain painful.

SM has a looooong way to go in my book before he atones for 'coupling'. i'm not sure it can ever be done...

doc - i don't know enough about anything to write for the reg. but i had a squiz at herself's work, and i see that she's an arch, caustic little madam. you flatterer.

I missed it last night because I was out. What happened? Did any of them die like the TV mags said or was that all a big lie?

I had a thin grasp of what was going on.Davros was trying to exterminate all reality or the whole universe or summat and was getting all excited.then there was 2 doctors and Catherine Tate also became half a doctor(i think :scratchead: ) then the daleks accused Davros of betraying them.oh fcuk knows, it was doin me head watching it this morning with a hangover. What's the point in them all rushing around trying to save each other when everbody always regenerates/comes back to life later on anyway.load of tosh

From what I saw it made no sense at all.

Definitely one of the sweeter moments in the entire episode. I think I almost cried when he also said, just moments before that, "He needs you, that's very me."

*sigh* Back to trying to find time to catch more reruns on YouTube. :\ohwell:

Yes, Morrissey will be the new Doctor

Here is a BBC promotional shot of him in character with no less than THREE new assistants:

ONE SUMMER! That was ace ,first thing I ever saw Morrissey in.Can't remember much of it now apart them in Wales feeding birds Mars Bars, his mate going back to Liverpool and getting involved in joyriding, and James Hazeldene turning out to be a paedo. Ah bugger, can I borrow it next Boaty?:evil4:

For you Monty, anything! I still remember at Blackpool you were dying to turn into your cot,in that B&B Jemma trashed, and stole for the team and everything...it was something like daft o'clock, and you were spinning my disc and making positive comments on my pot-pouri of cherry picked tracks..Correct me if I'm wrong, but you digged Moonelight Shadow?? Noooo that was Leggy:nod: who intimated it was risque, socially, for whatever reason.

We were all barred anyhow. Which I thought was a bit rash.

it's not just girls! boys can be eversokeen on wanting what they can't have.

i'm certainly not interested in that crap. unrequited pining is for sixth formers. grown up relationships are imperfect and real and reciprocal.

i'll take bluey. far rather have the fella who sticks around than the idealised unattainable fantasy.

there was a tiny trailer for the crimbo episode straight after 'journey's end'. he won't be the next doctor, he'll just be in that ep.

now, i'd take him over two tennants and a simm put together. my big sister and i get all confused and conflicted over the fact we have these massive crushes based on him being a brash lovely proper northern gent, when the truth is he's a big bloody luvvie married to esther freud.

I totally get the blue choice.. but my view was if you had been in love with a bastard for ages and suddenly he turned around and was all lovely and attentive you would think.. hang on a minute.. you aint the tosser I adore.. and get bored VERY quickly..

Mr M is a mix of the two which makes him a kinda murky green..
