Home Cinema Systems

I just typed a detailed description of the home system I'm looking for but it timed out. Booger!

I'm tempted by this one, mainly because it has only two speakers and a hard drive. Not convinced by the hard drive though. As long I can plug mp3 players into it, what do I want more storage for?

I want something for my front room, which is at least 20 x 15 feet, and I'm not keen on loads of wires so I want wireless speakers or just a 2.1 with trick surround. I'm more interested in clarity at lower volumes than big loud sound - I live in a flat and the neighbours can hear me pretty well!

I need lots of easy connectivity to x-box, video, pc (preferably wifi) and Freeview. I'd prefer on board Freeview receiver so I can throw another remote control away. I wouldn't mind HDD recording of the telly with transfer to DVD, but I'm not so bothered about that as I don't watch much TV.

Any advice? Anyone got anything nice?

I've got a Sony LCD with freeview built in, a Sky+ box and one of these:

Sony DAV-IS10

I can highly recommend :)

I always got told when i researched a home cinema system don't go for a a all in one box, i used to have one, but when i upgraded to blu ray, i needed a sound system to match.

so i settled for a an Onkyo 605 AV reciever and a Q acoustic 1000 series 7.1 speaker system, best swap i made, i would recommend going seperates if you can over a all in a box system.it will cost more, but the results a well worth it.

Try www.superfi.co.uk, they always have a few good deals on.

if you have a small living room like me, don't bother with seperates
