In fairness to N(ob)H(ead), I get the same thing all the time. Something on my PC (usually my windows one, but Linux can bite my nuts too, no OS is totally tame), will start to annoy me, and I will try all manner of ways to fix it, to no avail. I will then post a (semi-foaming) requst for help.....and before the bytes on the post have even dried, the solution comes to me from nowhere.
Besides, where else is gonna post to ask how NOOL's avatars work.
If we're gonna give this guy shit for his (frequent) idiotic threads, then we only weaken our position by attacking perfectly reasonable questions.
It was ages before I found that the reason why every photo I tried to post on here was a thumbnail size,it was because I didin't know when you click IMAGE,that you had to delete the HTTP: off the toolbar when you pasted the link.

That auto-prepended http:// is the cause of most people's problems with posting embeded stuff here.
they often end up posting it as
http://http://whatever.com
Oh, and don't forget to remove the localisation from youtube links.......
http://www.uk.youtube.com must become http://www.youtube.com in order to work properly.
