Dunno about single, but the first LP I bought with my very own money was Neil's Heavy Concept Album and I bought it on the day it came out with a fiver that my Uncle Joe gave me.

Erm, the b-side "Curtains" was really good... nice and ambient. As for the main track, it's a fairly obvious pop song where Gabriel sings about having a big bank balance and a big cock (the bulge in his big, big, big, big etc). Must admit if I were in his position I'd probably have been doing the same :laugh: the video (my brother owned the "CV" VHS) is really quite imaginative... well done PG.

Think my first album was an anonymous Eric Clapton solo record; not even worth mentioning and I never became a fan.

Geoff Love: Big War Movie themes,present; bought at xmas by Mam n Dad for the theme from Where Eagles Dare in the 1960's. re-released in the 80's but I missed it, apparently it's good for samples, cover was a mish mash of film posters.

I don't rememer the first single I bought. My dad owns a deejay company (weddings, parties yada yada) so I was able to listen to any 45 I wanted as a kid.

The first tape I bought with my own money was "Reckless" by Bryan Adams. I loved "Summer of '69"

Erm...actually...no...I can no longer recall...

I must be getting too old or have indulged in too many beverages, because I don't have a fucking clue what they were...

Funny thing though...I can still remember the first two CDs I purchased like they was yesterday...but first album and single...I just don't remember...

First single Aztec Camera'Somewhere in my heart' and I still think it's a bute song!

My first single that I owned was David Essex's'Gunna make you a star' but I never bought it with my own sheckles. It is also bute tunage to this day,mind.. :nod:
