I'd stop now before you make a fool of yourself.

Edit - too late!

Squaddy i reckon. You just know he comes from an area ridden with chronic inbreeding lol

He's worth 3 of you....oddly enough he's probably the SIZE of 3 of you too.

No. It's just that some of us have actually met him and I can assure you he's far from being a yob.

Absolutely, a gent.

Of course my judgment is somewhat clouded by the fact that he declined to kick my arse when I met him (for endless yorkshire abuse of something).

I don't think this twit has quite got the grey matter required to graps that some people here come from famillies who gave a lot in one of the big ones, or even fighting some of my less pleasant countrymen.....so just maybe, they took his comment a teensy bit personally....imagine that!

To be honest who he is, is irrelevent. The forum is mostly in woeful condition. Its dominated by the same 5 or 6 people, including one Welshman who seems to document everything from his dietary habits to his bowel movements.

The contributions from North America are mostly much better and wide ranging. One thing that surprised me is the lack of threads on music technology and the like. Surprising for a band of that type.

'Obama this, Obama that?', 'I'm a Ali G lookalike and I've got a new song/bird'?

Oh COME ON... :nono:

And I believe I've met JT before. I was very drunk, and never heard a bad word against him.

Anyone ever met this Andrew King oik?

Who's the 'Welshman'?

Biggie?

Yeah, I wondered that. And even if Biggie was Welsh, does he go on about his dietary habits?

Clear proof of brain damage if you ask me.

Thats not the job of a forum, there is a chat facility and MSN for that. Effectively it has become too personalised and cliquey. Apart from Edel's threads and that synth nerd guy most of the contributions are awful.

That confused me too. Welsh Darren doesn't post much on here. Maybe he thinks Fradders is Welsh?:confused2:

That's why there are different forums. Behind Closed Doors is where people can talk about as much crap as they like. If you don't like it, stay in Ceremony and Digital Republic.

I believe Colin (surely one of the most entertaining posters here....don't tell him I said that), currently rejoices in a Welsh flag as his location icon.

Thats actually nonsense though. You would estimate on a forum of this type topics like: dance music, indie, technology, books, politics, news etc.... but it just isnt. Instead its threads like: "Do posh bird take it up the arse"?

If I'm honest, I tire of those threads too. But if you read back through Behind Closed Doors, you'll see there is a always a mix of subjects. The ratio of those subjects may not be to your liking, so do something about it. A lot of the people who post on the 'up the arse threads' are actually intelligent people who are equally happy to voice their opinions on serious subjects.

Why don't you start threads instead of complaining about the lack of them? Simple.

The only comments I've ever noted of yours were snide ones when Richard Wright died.

Unless I'm missing summat earth-shatteringly important elsewhere?

Anyways, why's there these JT / Kingy threads? Have I missed summat somewhere? I see a comment's been deleted in the Remebrance Day thread?

There are occasional threads relating to music technology, but I'm sure most people into music technology, would go to either soundonsound.com or musictechmag.co.uk or similar. It only becomes specific to this site when it's something new order related, i.e what gauge strings does hooky use, does steve use a hard or soft beater with his acoustic kit, does barney know how to play in any key other then D, did gillian just press start at the beginning of TPK video etc.

Getting back to the original post, just because you disagree with something doesn't give you the right to offend people, it may also come as a suprise to you, but a lot of americans lost their lives in the second world war too, so you are probably annoying them too.

And for the record, I'm a northerner, but I don't eat pies, I have not been drunk for about 3 years, I'm not a lout and I'm not over weight. so you're stereotypes are as fucked up as your opinions.

Anyway since when was anybody here bothered about offending people? Certain people actually revel in it (*cough* user: uncleliam). It was only JT that decided to start making multiple threads on the issue on a personal level. No Holiday was actually not far off the mark - most of the threads from the British are on the snide side. I dont think I was departing drastically from that role.

An important question. Someone start a poll.

Seriously, every now and then, along comes someone who doesn't fit in. They often tend to go for shock posts, as in your comments re: the war dead. Possibly attention seeking, I dunno, don't care.

I can't see a great deal of reason for you being here. You don't post on the NO Forums. You change your name every five minutes. And now you are slagging us all off, when surely, a forum is about the people who contribute, including yourself.

Time to make a choice methinks.

No the actual issue is: why isnt the site attracting a wider audience than it is? especially as it is a .com domain after all. Overall I think it is best to leave this site, having seen various newbies being derided by a clique that actually cannot see the absurdity of itself.
