yep house of love.i had it years ago on a compilation.think it was best album in the world 2 ? always thought that it sounds a bit like the stranglers. was a good single though

Dunno about it being on a compilation "best album in the world 2" but, er, it is on THE best album in history. I am of course talking about House Of Love's "Butterfly" (sometimes also referred to as "Fontana" ) album from 1990.

Shine On is actually my least favourite song on the album. Hannah, Hedonist, Don't Know Why I Love You, Shake And Crawl, Blind, Someone's Gotta Love You, In A Room and 32nd Floor are all far superior songs to Shine On. The album was of course far more important and vital than any of that 1990 Madchester stuff.

Strange fact - Guy Chadwick actually lived here in Rugby for a time in the 80s.

Well how was I to know they name songs like NO? What evr happened to naming the song after the most repeated words. I mean really people!
