Bass Query

I'm toying with the idea of getting another 4 string bass and restringing and tuning it to the 4 high strings of the marathon 6 tuning, does this sound a bit of a stupid idea or is it feasible?

Toyed with the idea myself. There are somestring shops online and in the UK that sell Fender6 sets fairly cheaply....which is your best option short of having the fuckers custom wound like his Highness ;)

As for problems? You will almost certainly have to take a couple of turns out of the truss to get the neck back into shape, especially if it IS Fender6 strings because the top 4 are FUCKING light.

TBH, i keep looking at my own and wondering if the stupidlight strings on it could handle another minor7th of tension ;)
