I heard this track by former levi's model Nick Kamen a few times over the past weekend, it's an oldie (beginning of the 90's i think?) i know and a bit cheesy but it reminded me a bit of New Order...dunno what it is but it did:confused2:

Agreed or not?

I kinda like the track though...

This all ties in with the other history of NO/Nick Kamen. Apparently he only got the Levi's Laundromat gig cos Hooky and Barney couldn't agree on who would get to play the bemused pensioner and who got the more rewarding role of musician doing his weekly wash, Barney argued that Hooky didn't own any clean smalls and would thus render the ad pointless, Hooky argued that Barney looked a twat in 501's and would thus render a whole fashion statement pointless.

Madonna who knew all parties via some weird six degrees of seperation thing in the case of Hooky, Barney, Hacienda etc and the fact that she was thinking of shagging Kamen, put young Nick in the frame et voila, Hooky and Barney patch up and go on to advertise orange juice and Nick gets the gig and the girl.

a whole industry of song revivals kicks off some good some less so

eventualy the Clash jump on the bandwagon but wisely decline to appear in the filmed ad

The intro sounds exactly like Erasure's A little respect, released a few years before, I think... but it's a top melody, and has a very catchy chorus. Nice tune :thumb:
