....could we ban this 'kiddiespeak' term from these boards? Every time I read it I want to vomit and it's just a bit fucking sinister if you ask me.

Yes, can we 'get' a higher standard of grammar and spelling.

(see what I did there - ROFL)

Whenever I hear that phrase (usually on the Internet in my case), I want to ask 'My bad what?'

It's usually "my bad vaginal secretions are planning to take over the universe" in my experience.

Personally hate the phrase... unfortunately I believe it came from this side of the pond.

As for the board, members should loose one finger per use... which finger to start with I wonder?:confused2:

i must be getting really old, I haven't a clue what it's supposed to mean, and it sounds incomplete.

As my stepson would say,"This is proper sick"......which apparently means is good!!

WTF??

My son uses that too..."sick" without the proper. Another popular one is "sweet", which apparently is a good thing as well? I am not allowed to use these "street" words as my son calls them...because I am old!!?? Nice kid eh? WTF indeed!

Awww Snap! "my bad" has been around at least 20 years anyway, it not that new.

What was that word Hooky junior used to use? That was a good one.

Sick and sweet have been around for a long time, at least 25 years... though sweet and cherry were words that were around 'wrench-heads' and not the general public about 25 years ago at least...

I had to show some apprentices round work today, and I overheard them saying 'roffle' to each other a lot.

Then it clicked, they were using 'ROFL' as an actual word...
