It blows my mind that tomorrow is the saddest kind of anniversary. April 15, 1989 was supposed to be an FA Cup semi-final. Friends and fans supporting their teams in a good afternoon.

We all saw the carnage that resulted in the needless death of 96 Liverpool fans. I remember seeing footage and getting sick. Friends, parents and children all died for no good reason in a tragedy that could have been easily prevented.

The Taylor Report said that a disaster like Hillsborough could have happened at any place at any time. But it does not erase the pain that many still feel. You go to a sporting and you never come home? I will never be able to process that. It angers me that no one has been called to account for this.

Regardless of your affiliation, we can all say peace be with those 96. May they never walk alone.

Indeed, hope all those that died are at peace, not forgetting all those whose lives were changed forever, as well as the painful fight for truth and justice.

Was it really 20 years ago - blimey, I remember watching it with horror on the tele at the time (I think it was on Grandstand, if memory serves me correctly - was due to be on MOTD later on, but my memory's gash?) - absolutely shocking scenes...

I remember watching the horror unfold on telly.Hard to believe 20 years has passed since.. Both me and my brother were involved in few nasty crushes(though nothing like Hillsbrough) against the fence in a packed Holgate End,at Ayresome Park during crowd surges,literally gasping for air and going home bruised and battered.We always went home though.

What happened at Hillsbrough was a disgrace...The families need justice.

I feel for the families that lost loved ones on that day and can understand their anger and need for justice. The policing was diabolical that day and the FA made some big mistakes too.

As a Forest fan I can remember the footage on tele like it was only yesterday. Very disturbing scenes, as was the Bradford fire and the Heysel tradegy from the 80's.

Although it doesnt help those who have suffered, English stadia has improved dramatically as a consequence of the Taylor report and that sort of thing shouldnt happen again (I hope).

There was a drama called "Hillsborough" on ITV3 last night. I dont know when it was made (mid 90's?) but it had atop cast and seemed to portray a truthful account, in accordance to things Ive read about the tradegy.
