Looks like this years festival could see the worst weather in the events history. Oceans of rain and violent storms are set to strike early saturday evening. Good luck to those on here that are set for the trip. Don't forget your pac-a-mac.

24 degrees. Glorious sunshine.

Just don't bring the weather down with you!

It was very warm in Cheshire yesterday, then it rained, then it stopped and now it's sunny again.

This is the first year since 2005 that I've been sorry not to be going to Glasters. Will probably go next year.

Hope this helps.

4 day forecast? ROFLMAO

Unlesss it came off the shipping forecast or something else not designed for the great unwashed, it'll be as accurate, as as scientific, as a Sun horroscope.

Sunny as fuck here BTW.....shame that heat and light now have roughly the same effect on me as they do on vampires and lugworms.

Only gayers call it "Glasto".

My favourite memory of the Glastonbury Festival of Performing Arts was the gang of crusties camped near us in 1993. They had wheeled in a full 3-piece suite and had a generator hooked up to a fridge and a huge sound system which played nowt but dub the whole weekend. They even had lamps (with shades!) at night. One of their mates got really pissed and passed out mid-weekend, so they did the sensible thing and stripped him naked and left him to cook in the sun at the side of the pathway. Every time I walked past his cock was a little bit more sunburned. Like a wee lobster it was. Felt quite sorry for him, actually.

Ah, memories.........

And that, ladies and gentleman, is word-for-word what the Gypo said to the judge when defending himself against the serious sexual assault charges he faced when found with a dead hippies sunburnt cock in his mouth at Glassington Wassington.

oooh friendly fires were smashing (and tres fanciable), but weren't white lies dull? are they always that boring?

there's something vaguely reminiscent of musical theatre about lickle boots' vocals that i hadn't noticed before.

and vv brown is bloody brilliant.

Beeb have got fuckin Kasabian as the theme tune this year:nonono:

Nope, still not impressed with Little Boots. VV Brown is one of the more interesting things to come out of Northampton.

Lady Ga Ga  Bless er

Lily's right one popped out. Little Boots was good. White Lies singers voice is like Marmite. And I hate marmite. Ting Tings were cool.

So much for storms and torrential rain. Why do weather announcers get paid?

she's been the highlight so far, for me. she's got some great clobber - just a 50s bra and girdle at one point. and a red frock that almost made me drool.

neil young and fleet foxes are TREMENDOUS, obviously, but you kind of want them round a camp fire rather than on a big stage.

(i should point out lady g's performance was top-notch. the little girl reporter on bbc3 interviewed little boots straight after her set and the ONLY COMMENT she made about it was to gush about her dress. i was appalled. "you looked fab!" how did she sound?!)

Fleet Foxes have been the best so far (that i've seen). Quite looking forward to Springsteen tonight. The Radio 6 website seems to be the best place to see performances.

That would be in homage to the patented Jo "I've made a career out of being utterly vacuous" Whiley approach, then. Having said that, I was also bored by Whiley's empty titillation. Lady Gaga had no knickers on, apparently, and Lily Allen was sans brazier.

Did I see Gaga's gash?? Did I get to leer over Lily's love puddings??

The answer on both counts is "no", m'lud. Pathetic.

Yes, and 'Lily Allen' is just Keith Allen in drag with an all over body wax and 'Little Boots' is Mark Almond after a bout of peroxide apocalypse. I am old and decrepit enough to not care either way.

Just in case you missed it.

Now you've touched on it,Angelina Jolie could be accused of looking a bit too much like her old fella in his yoof,John Voight. Not that she'll ever make a flick as heartbreaking and memorable as'The Champ' but then, who will?

Lily has something about her that Keith makes up for in beard,to be fair

Well bugger me, i was just this minute in the process of copying and pasting that exact same clip onto here and writing some bollocks about how Glastonbury should have been finished forever after that as no band could ever top it at the festival ever again. That should have been the last ever song at the last ever Glastonbury festival :burp; :hic: :spit:

great that new order clip but then again re order sounded as good at manc uni few weeks ago :evil4: helecopter by bloc party was ace last night with the crowd. kingdom of rust by doves was very good.aint seen any tonight but about to look

Bruce Springsteen is shouting a lot of crap and working up a sweat trying to look enthusiastic about the whole affair. The crowd look fucking bored. Just chill out, Bruce. Stop thinking you've got to be all loud and shouty. Do Philadelphia or something. Just stop being all false and shouty.

what a wanker bruce is,he as spent more time loving up to the crowd than singing.and whats on bbc3 franz,no thanks. maybe some good bits later. btw i watched bbc i player today, which was last nights doves/bloc party and have to say edith bowman looked so fucking do-able,her legs looked ace,wow

I reckon that Edith Bowman's minge actually looks like Bruce Springsteen's face, especially that shot where there was loads of steam coming off him. Can't believe you fancy her, Bansh: she's almost as much of a royal pain in the arse as Jo Whiley. I've always held a torch for Lauren Laverne, mind....

I feel a bit embarassed cos although I dont like the music much, Bruce is deffo slowly stealing the show.

Has the fucker aged at all since 1984?

Aye we've not seen nearly enough of Lauren Laverne this weekend. Just got bored shitless by Edith fucking Bowman and nauseated by Jo twat Wylie

wot no lily in her grrrgeous wig/catsuit combo, johnny? bah. i want that wig, and by george i will have it.

i also want one of the bbc wooden mushrooms.

jason mraz's acoustic performance for the beeb was very cute and foot-tappable. he's an avocado farmer, you know. the vile offspring liked 'pendulum' yesterday. i don't even know who they are. i liked florence and the machine, despite them not being light years away from a pub goth band.

here's a podcast from the 6music website with j marr wittering on about the smiths 84 glasto appearance, among other things.

I love the way Radcliffe is clearly pissed every time he's on the telly at night. Endless, barely coherent sentimental rambling than can only come from a middle-aged man with a dozen pints of bitter inside him. I fully expect him to make an amorous lunge at Laverne tonight.

I also think Zane Lowe is a living, breathing rationale for the extermination of the entire human race. Fuck him off back to the Antipodes ASAP.

poor zane lowe. every comment he comes out with is like a magnificently crafted pizza dough made of crap. meanwhile, lauren laverne loves everything.

i have been hurled unceremoniously away from the telly while some football match is on. (isn't football supposed to have finished by now?) i did see madness doing 'it must be love', though. looked like fun. suggs is another residual crush.

Is it now a contractual obligation for every band AND punter to engage in the worst kind of hoary festival cliches whenever the opportunity arises? I am wondering if Spinal Tap were the only people at Glastonbury this year with any kind of awareness of their own ridiculousness......

Even worse was the Zane Lowe/Jo Whiley mutual masturbation session after Blur finished. Whiley in particular is on another planet: her clitoris must have been red raw by the end. Call a fucking gynaecologist, quick!! She's got Lowe's gushing jism dripping from her dead, empty narrow eyes.....

Having said all that, I quite enjoyed Black Eyed Peas. La Roux was good as well, if you can forgive the hair. She's only about five innit. Bless.

Jarvis Cockers cover of Beat It was good thou.

Specials was good (although Terry Hall looks old, bored and fat, the guitarist is still a punkrocker!), Lady GaGa rocked the shit out of everyone, Ting Things were cool (but why the fuck are they headlining? only one album and one cool track)? Blur good to see them back, Jack Penate is good to hear and that guitarist from Status Quo (not Francis Rossi but thet other one, Rick what's his nam)?? reminded me of Hooky (only with a guitar:), bruce rocks!

Now Lilly Allen, that's wee piss and boring:sleep:

Edith Bowman, isn't she married to that singe from editors?:confused2:

Anwd what's the fuzz about these fucking-campfire-hippies Fleet Foxes? fucking dead-boring...

Was there any techno to be played around?

Yes, she is indeed married to that minge from Editors. Though given that they have fallen from (what little) grace (they ever had), I imagine divorce proceedings will begin soon to coincide with headlines of the the "EDITH'S AMAZING WEIGHT LOSS!!!!"-variety.

Is Prodigy classed as techno? God theyre like a rock band. All loud n dirty.

The most enjoyable act I discovered was Spinal Tap. Jamie Callum on keyboard and Jarvis Cocker joining on bass for a song.

And they can actually play. More than just a joke band in my book.:thumb:
