finally managed to download a few nuggets from these kids...and I have to say, they ain't bad...
that thing about only love can break your heart is pretty good...and nothing can stop us is nice as well...

They have got a double cd out Greg, Smash The System a best of containing a shedload loads of tracks, oh yes, and i tickets to see them in October :smug smiley:
Get Foxbase Alpha before the singles collection. The charm of St.Etienne is magnified when the full album can be listened to in ORDER. Granted, when you do fall in love with Sarah, the singles collection will be nice for a road trip but nothing beats Foxbase Alpha from Beginning to End. I recommend buying their albums in sequential order:

the other albums are a little too Poptastic for me to endure straight through like the first 3 but some nuggets are buried within.
Join our club is fantastic Jeffsy.....I'll go along with the albums mentioned above as well, but I think I bought JOC before anything else by the band - the single was rotated heavily fer several weeks....prefer their single stuff meself - not a massive fan of the albums
I have time for the Etienne too - they're a cool band!
Besides, Bob Stanley is a massive Northern Soul fan an' he has been DJ-ing at Scooter rallies here and there - the last one I saw him at was The Untouchables one at IOW in 1998. Absolutely brilliant night that was! 
And Sarah's a bonny hinny an' all! :p
Tiger Bay is one of my favourite albums ever - gorgeous

And of course you can jump straight in with the newest single "action" out next week. I caught the last bit of the video the other day and I was not impressed but I cannot judge just yet.
I should have been watching them at the Benicassim Festival this weekend but a friends meet up took precedence. They tell me St. Etienne weren't great anyway.
There are plenty of St. Etienne fans here, reckon that Liv and the Trumpette are also, as is Martin Fradley.
