So who would comprise your own fantasy dream band line-up, if you had the opportunity to put one together? Obviously it could include your good self or you could always play the svengali or shadowy figure lurking behind the control desk....

Yer can have as many integral members or "Bezzes" as yer want, but be careful it doesn't end up coming across like the So Solid Crew or something..... and, let's not forget, give us yer reasons why. The wittier the better of course!

I'll stick my oar back in a little while later! Awreet! ;)

Ooh, great, I love this game.

Going for a standard four piece, and taking only one member from each band, today (but probably not tomorrow) I'm going for:-

:singer: Bryan Ferry (vocals) :guitar: Johnny Marr (guitar) :guitar: Hooky (bass) :drummer: Reni (drums, since I can't take Steve)

And I'll be the dancer. :jump:

Cool! My girl Charley hails from the same neck o' the woods as Mr Ferry - South Shields...

Anyway - I've got a fair inkling of the ideal band I'd love to see:

Lead Vocals - Sally Timms Bass Guitar / Vocals - Kim Deal Rhythm Guitar / Backing Vocals - Ian MacKaye Lead Guitar - Frankie Stubbs Additional Guitar / Backing Vocals - Billy Bragg Drums - Paul Ferguson Keyboards - Jerry Dammers

That's a hefty seven piece then without any mention of my childhood heroes Madness.. ;)

Ah...so it's THEY who possess such a figure of the four strings... Thing is with the Strokes, me suspects all them guys have been given such "quixotic" names by their manager or record big wig.... just to sound really, you know, impossibly "cool":

We have Julian Casablancas - yeah - I'm sure that's his real name like! Next - there's Albert Hammond Jnr. - wow! That's so, you know, mind-blowingly "cred"... Then the aforementioned Nikolai Ceausescu -sorry - Fraichecreme.... wow - that's so exotic! Bet the drummer's called Fender Yamaha Gibson and the other one Sunset Boulevard Tanglehead. Or something... :D

Or have I just made that up?

You've just made it up. He is in fact the son of Bill Casablancas, toilet cleaner from Trenton, and not a New Yorker at all !
