Great call!! Aeroplane were undoubtedly the production team of 2009. They've really shaken things up. Everything they touch is sublime. The Sebastien Tellier, David Rubato and Grace Jones remixes were something else. If only they would get round to releasing an album!

Saw them DJ in Sheffield last month and they were a bit shit though. Hard to play 115bpm nu-disco when the guy before you is cranking it up to 130 I s'pose.

It came out 3 weeks ago. Didn't bother the charts much unfortunately.

is that supposed to be a witty riposte? it makes no sense whatsoever.

your choices owe a far greater debt to the past than mine.

you barely made any did you?

And music is cyclic, with new bits added on.

Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day..

i got closer to the requisite number than you did. in countdown that would be classed as a victory.

i wouldn't mind but the sorry examples of 80s pop that the charts have been riddled with this year have been lesser than the tunes they were ripping off. nothing added. like a shit audio shredded wheat.

My list reflects the only music stations we have here in New London!

  1. TI feat. Justin Timberlake--Dead and Gone
  2. Black Eyed Peas--Meet Me Halfway
  3. Lady Gaga--Paparazzi
  4. Black Eyed Peas--Boom Boom Pow
  5. Green Day--21 Guns (the best thing they've ever done)
