yer know, Gary,that Bernard wished happy birthday to at the first of two Hacienda gigs December third 1985. Sunrise and As It And When It Was were broadcast live on The Old Grey Whistle Test. Still remember putting the crimbo decs up at the old family house as i was watching
I love the way Barney throws the guitar on the floor, I remember that was repeated on new years eve that year, that's when I saw it, but I was shit faced so it's a bit of a blurred memory.
I mind watching (and taping) that as well and thinking,
"I'll play that on my 19th" (which was only 6 years away
