The accents in it are atrocious. Chibs from Sons of Anarchy was in it this week playing an Oirishman - I got proper confused by his accent.

It's still not a touch on Boardwalk Empire, mind. Fuck all seems to have happened on the Boardwalk this series/season but it's so breathtaking to watch. Van Alden's discourse with Capone in his office this week was filmed beautifully (and I don't usually go gooey over cinematography and suchlike).

Anyone else watching Stephen Merchant's Hello Ladies? Absolute genius. Wasn't convinced it would work but three episodes in I can't really fault it. It's his delivery that makes it. This week's episode where he finally got a date was the funniest thing I've seen in ages.

I see Walking Dead is back with its usual cheerful opening episode. Zombies falling through the roof was quite impressive though.

Talking of zombies, I saw World War Z last week. Best Zombies ever. Makes the 28 Days Later zombies look as docile as those from the Evil Dead. The scene with them all making a man mountain outside the walls of Jerusalem was just plain stupendous.

Really? Apart from them making the man mountain to climb the walls of Jerusalem i wasn't that impressed by them😕 Thought something like 28 Days Later/ 28 Months Later had far better zombies and were far better films. Didn't find World War Z that great all in all.Think it suffered from going for the 15 certificate.

Oh, the film is shit but I thought the zombies were just brilliant.

There's a piece on them in this month's Empire magazine which I've not bothered reading yet but apparently the whole Jerusalem wall thing was based on ants working together, or something (my better half told me).

Much scarier than the 28 Days/Months zombies, I thought. They just seemed to act utterly focused on biting something/anything that wasn't already a zombie. The case in point being that Jerusalem wall where they started jumping over to commit 'suicide' just to try and get near human flesh. They all seemed utterly driven!

Oh, and they seemed a lot faster than the 28 zombies too.

Well can't remember so well now as it's a while since I saw it at the cinema in June. Maybe they are faster than in 28 Weeks/ Months Later. But I just recall that scene in 28 Months Later when Robbie Carlisle is legging it to get from the farmhouse to the boat on the river . The zombies chasing him were bloody fast!

OoooH, excellent! Just seen that there's a new series of Him & Her starting this Thursday 21st Nov on BBC3. Apparentley it's the final series. I've watched all of the previous 3 series and loved it.If you've never seen it it's a bit Royal Family style as in all the action is inside the house ( or flat in this case) Russell Tovey is Steve and this actress Sarah Solemani that i don't think i've seen in anything else is brilliant as Becky. It's a sitcom about a lazy twenty something couple who rarely leave their flat. Becky's sister Laura is THE vilest and most horrible character EVER.

and Joe Wilkinson from 8 Out of Ten Cats etc is also in it...

Yeah he's a good character in it.

Watched the first episode of the new series.A good start and this series shows promise.Becky's sister Laura is excelling herself in annoying nastiness.Funny though.

Laura is Russell Howard's sister, isn't she? She had her own one-off sketchshow on BBC2 recently as part of their comedy firsts series. Wasn't particularly funny, mind.

Eh?😕 Really? Cannot say i've ever for one minute thought Becky looks remotely like or has mannerisms like Bonzette. Sorry but you've got me scratching my head there, Al! Though to be fair i haven't seen Bonzette for years apart from a very brief exchanged hello in the Canterbury Arms before New Order at Brixton Academy May 2012.Really don't know on that one

Caught up with episode 2 of Him & Her then episode 3 which is available on iPlayer before it's on BBC3 this coming Thursday .

The Wedding ceremony, that was just hands over the eyes stuff . Brilliant . Laura is just , well, beyond words with her self obsession. The scene in the limousine when she sticks her head up through the sun roof and keeps shouting to any passer by that she's in a limo and starts hurling insults . She's just pure evil 😄

Got three hours sleep on Sunday evening, before the Giants were on Sunday Night Football (NBC, US TV station; Channel 4, UK TV station). Was considering switching off and going to bed again after the first two possessions - glad I didn't!

Got about three hours sleep before going back to work today. Not a chore when you have a job you enjoy doing...

Vic and Bob in House Of Fools, it's sort of really really crap at times but still worth a look each week.

Inside No 9. You've just got to watch owt with Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith involved in, haven't you.

Oh this is ace news.New series called W1A starting next week on BBC2 ( Tuesday night? Or Wednesday? not sure) From the makers of the excellent and hilarious Twenty Twelve. Not sure what the premise is but it appears to have a few of the lot from Twenty Twelve in, including the brilliant Jessica Hynes. Should be great.

Just finished Season 4 of Archer on Netflix. I feel so empty now thta I have to wait another year before season 5 appears.

Did any of you watch Jamaica Inn? I mostly enjoyed it though impossible to follow at times with the much documented mumbling dialogue problems.I put that down to just Sean Harris' character who just mumbled anyway regardless of sound issues. Loved Jessica Brown Findlay in it, thought she was fantastic. The opening scene in the final episode with the smugglers luring the ship to crash on to the rocks was pretty bloody good.Loved that dark 1821 Cornwall atmosphere captured in the series.And even Joanne Whalley was in it so what more could you want?

I have just now finished watching the last ever episode of Breaking Bad, we got the initial box set (1-3) at Christmas time so it's been sort of with me for the first 4 months of the year, it did take me a while to get into it but I am glad now that I persisted, wonderful stuff, so many highlights right up to the last episode.

Well i had a watch of the first couple of episodes of Fargo on Channel 4.Good .Not seen tonight's episode yet. Was curious to see how Martin Freeman coped with doing an American accent.He's ok actually.His character Lester is getting himself involved in a right pickle.

Rachael Neimann; University Challenge semi-finalist, Mastermind contestant and DandelionRadio.com broadcaster, is now a team captain on the (UK TV channel) BBC FOUR hit quiz, Only Connect (now in it's ninth series).

The show is brilliant. Carol Vorderman must have launched a law suit against the Beeb for not offering her the presenter role.

Edge Of Darkness series repeat on Monday nights,BBC4. This BBC crime/political drama from 1985 seems to be revered as one of the Beeb's best ever .I vaguely remember being aware of it and all its critical acclaim at the time but never watched it for some reason so coming to it for the very first time after nearly 30 years. Perhaps famously known for Eric Clapton's repeating guitar riff that soundtracks many scenes.Watched the first episode.. intriguing though inevitably slightly dated i'll keep watching to see what all the fuss was about.Shame Joanne Whalley is killed in the first 10 minutes of episode 1

Unfortunately, Dandelion Radio's Rachael Neuman's Record Collectors failed to make to the final of Only Connect Series 9, but three teenagers who call themselves the EUROPHILES did.

A gripping final. A "defensive battle" as the Americans would say.
