why the hell do people keep saying that! i love joy division (that should be a given;)) but everytime i hear comparisions like that, it kinda implies that these guys are joy division wannabes...especially when it comes out the mouth of every music journalist. but they're not!
ok...it's the clothes and the singer.....but anyways, forget the hype. turn on the bright lights is an amazing debut by these new yorkers...a combination of everything i like...afghan whigs, lush guitars, moody, atmospheric and damn beautiful music...and maybe a little bit of joy division...just a bit.
I absolutely love this albulm right now. This is the first time I actually went out and bought a new album from a new artist/band ever.
