Mike Nelson did a hilarious piece in his book "Movie Megacheese" about how the TV show "Friends" has in effect replaced all his real-life friends because he no longer keeps in touch with them. Very funny, and yet....very true

Damn, I have that book, but haven't finished it yet and read about that one. Guess I'd better look for that chapterette cause the rest of it has made me laugh, or smile at the least.
