As far as I remember this is the first mention they have ever had on these here pages. I'm not a fan myself; don't have any of their albums, mainly down to my propensity for ignoring hyped rock acts. That said Ashcroft’s new single is quite a nice piece and I've heard some good songs they've done other than their really well known stuff. Anyone remember a thread mentioning them or care to comment?

Are they the ones who did that 'Freshmen' song?

I have a passing interest... A Northern Soul and Urban Hymns are both albums that I return to, infact Bittersweet Symphony is probably in my all time top ten.

Bought Ashcroft's first solo album which has a couple of good tracks but I soon got bored.

Got most of their albums ,CD singles and the 12 inch ones. The best CD is a live bootleg called URBAN MYTHS.One of the singles covers was photographed on FORMBY BEACH just near LIVERPOOL.I used to spend many times here with my now ex SHIRLEY,we were together for six years but IT'S A BITTERSWEET MEMORY now.How the hell did she put up with me for so long!:D Actually liked the band but his solo stuff is pretty naff. But what do i know?
