I've just managed to get hold of a copy of their LOVELESS (no relation to New order!) album from 1991 - going for a fiver at HMV - having never haerd anythiing by them up to now, and I think it's absolutely brilliant! Being completely new to the work of this band, I've been reading about what an "influential" record this is, but can't seem to recall any other groups picking up where this band left off. All I know is that Kevin Sheilds now plays in primal Scream. Are this band officially no more?

Who else likes them and knows what other records I ought to get hold of ?

Well, I don't think they've done anything since this album. Mainly, because they still owe Creation two grillion dollars!

Very witty - now can someone post something that isn't a one liner please.

There must surely be others who like this band on this here forum.

Dave, LOVELESS is a brilliant record! Now that you got that one, get hold of the one that came before it - ISN'T ANYTHING. Then seek out the singles/eps like GLIDER and TREMOLO - all of these were on Creation Records and should be available on 12" or CD. Forget their earlier stuff, cos that's just disposable Stooges-wannabe fluff, and they had a different singer then. The classic two girls./two boys line up is the best.

Not sure why they aren't doing anything anymore - in fact I think they split up a few years back, cos the bass player is a cab driver in London or something - though don't hold me to that one!
