The intro to Anarchy still sends a shiver down my spine. Hey, whilst browsing at Borders today, I came across this, but didn't buy it (for one thing, I know nobody else in this part of the world would do such a thing). I'll probably pick it up soon, I just really didn't feel like giving them any of my money. Since Tower seems to be in a bit of trouble, I may give them the business.

It's apparently a behind-the-scenes documentary about the making of the album, as that link doesn't tell you as much. Look for it with the bright yellow disc package.

Another tough one. Went for Anarchy by a nose ahead of Holidays in the Sun. Both great tracks.

This is wierd. I was going to buy this album the other day because it was on sale for 7.99, but I wasn't sure if there's another edition with bonus tracks and stuff. I looked through the rest of their albums, and I couldn't tell if they were filled with outtacks or live tracks. Does anyone know if their's a special edition of "Never Mind The Bollocks" that has every album song plus extras? If so, let me know... Thanks.

Anarchy in the UK, Funnily enough 24 HPP has made me remember how good the pistols used to be.

Just had to dig this thread up; whilst sitting in town traffic today, the local commercial hard rock station played, inbetween their Ozzy and Limp Bizkit stuff, God Save The Queen. Of course, since I was in one of our companies big diesel rigs, I had to turn the volume up all the freakin' way just to hear it ;) and since it was hot today, the windows were opened so that all around me could enjoy this musical treat Great way to start off the work week; too bad it wasn't on the radio 26 years ago when it really mattered.

Good one!!...God Save The Queen is my all time fav. by them...remindes me of my first trip to London back in 87...I was standing in front of Buckingham Palace with my 'rents...and out of no where, I started singing it...my dad was horified!!!...he thought we would be arrested by the gards...to me, it was all just too funny

Holidays in the Sun, Anarchy in the UK, Pretty Vacant, and especially EMI are way up there for me, but for my money's it's gotta be God Save the Queen. But it's all an absolutely wonderful (but too short) album start to end, one of my all-time faves. (hmm...think i'll listen to it now that i'm in the mood.) Reminds me of high school, driving through the parking lot after school blasting the Pistols and The Clash (not to mention Dead Kennedys, The Exploited, Sham 69, the Ramones, etc.) while everyone else was blarring rap. ah...those were the days.

Oooh, obviously missed this first time around.

(Though am I alone in thinking Never Mind The Bollocks..., for all that it has four or five bloody great songs, isn't as great an album as the legend would have us believe? Certainly not ot as good as the Clash, not as good as London Calling, not as good as Inflammable Material...)

anyone else notice that in amongst the similar artists as well as some weird selections (the police? joan jett? malcolm mclaren? in what way do they sound the same?) there are also two other bands that add fuel to other fires - joy division & the cure...

I went with Anarchy, but I coulda went with God Save the Queen, Pretty Vacant, Holidays, etc., just as easily.

None, they're all utter shite. I never did get the whole Pistols thing.

It was the Ramones for me sonny boy! :)

"Holidays" for me. Could have been most of the others too. EMI gets an honourable mention.
